Take a Lunch Break with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra this Summer
The Fifth Third Bank Lunch Break Series offers $5 lunchtime concerts on six Thursdays in June and July
INDIANAPOLIS (May 17, 2016)—The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s popular Fifth Third Bank Lunch Break Series of summer concerts returns for a third year and features six Thursday performances on June 16, June 23, June 30, July 7, July 14, and July 21 at Hilbert Circle Theatre. Tickets are $5.
“The Fifth Third Bank Lunch Break Series is an ideal way to hear a great orchestra live,”” said Gary Ginstling, Chief Executive Officer of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. “These daytime concerts are brief, informal, affordable and you can even bring your lunch into the theater, providing an ideal opportunity to step away from the office and recharge with wonderful music.”
The series features 40-minute performances that showcase the virtuosity and versatility of the ISO. Musicians dress in street clothes to match the concerts’ casual nature and perform a variety of classical favorites. Concerts this year include works by Bernstein, Brahms, Mozart, and Gershwin, as well as music from Star Wars by famed film composer John Williams and the music of Billy Joel and Elton John. New this year, on June 30, the ISO will partner with the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art to celebrate the beauty and grandeur of the Grand Canyon.
The Fifth Third Bank Lunch Break Series is also supported by a generous grant from the Efroymson Family Fund.
